Greetings Earthlings,

in response to a 'Ws-Pighead's' tag on my tagboard about being depressed over something, I've decided its time to pull out some pics to share. We all know beautiful pics can lift the soul and bring cheer to a lifeless person. And what pics are more beautiful than pics of me? So here we go.

I have to remind u guys here that I'm part of a twin. Yes, I'm the younger of the two but that does not justify the remark that my eldest sister made about me being the 'buy-one-get-one- free' gift. Its no wonder I grew up odd.

Younger or not, my angelic character was obvious from the start. You can see how I glowed with a certain 'light' as I was cradled in my mum's arm. By the way.. I made her look pretty in the picture. And yes, even though I was the fatter of the two babies, I disagree with my class's remarks that it made my mum have Popeye arms. Humph. How rude.

Anyways, as I said I was born the fatter of the two but after my mum sent me to see a doc and he coerced her to give me less than 4 fried chicken wings a day. I lost some of my mass.. but my face remained round. My twin and I, we grew up.. and I started to display leadership qualities. (My sis calls it being a control freak.. but again i beg to differ) Watch as I confidently lead her on to safer pastures. I must say she had nicer shoes though. Oh, and my mum made those dresses. I think they made us look like martians. But don't tell her I said that.

Those days I ate well and played well and gradually grew into the beautiful flower I was meant to be. I happened to be taller than my sis and used to gloat about it all the time. I have to remind u guys here that I was 11 mins younger so it wasn't so easy to overtake her.

However, after some years she managed to overtake me in terms of height. I greatly suspect that she woke up earlier each morning just to knock my head and make me lag behind in terms of gaining height. Sadly, she overtook me during upper primary and is now always 4 cm taller than I am. One day I will go to china and do something about this.

Not only did I lose out in terms of height, I started growing 'bunny' teeth. I blame my dad for this. He had bunny teeth too but he pulled his out. Now his teeth are FAKE! HAHAHAHA. Anways, here's a pic of my toothy smile.. i'm not afraid to show it off. (I'm still beautiful) I was proud that I could slide a toothpick through that gap. How many ppl can do that man?

Amazingly, even at that young age I displayed enormous intelligence and engineering aptitude. Look at that structure I've created. I shouldn't mention this but look at my sis pretending to build something. HAHAHAHAH! (Don't kill me Lisa, take it all in stride. Look at where u are now - then look at what I'm doing for a living. Some sympathy here pls.)

Its been a lousy week. What could go wrong went wrong. I lost not 1 but 2 of my thumb drives!! I swear! The next one I buy I will install a self-destruct function and I will activate it so I can hear the culprit squeal! ARGH!!!! ~:( Now I have so much work to RE-do. Wonderful!

Curse you, thief! May a jolly boil grow on your nose.

Here are some pictures from the Teacher's Day dinner as promised. You'll see here some rare moments in a jedi's life. Heck.. its rare to see a real life jedi even so feast your eyes.

Meanwhile, I had to do a lot of cropping since I don't have the other teachers' permission to post their pics here.

Then again, I'm sure my pictures are sufficient since my beauty will keep all of you enthralled for quite a while. Heh.

Ever seen a jedi master eating fries? Now you have.

I think I just burnt myself with my light saber.

The cloak was so long I tripped on it during the rehearsal and flew off the stage. Luckily, there was only one other teacher there and she thought I was doing some jedi stunt since I did the flying beautifully and according to her, my cloak "flew back majestically".. Ah well, the pain after was worth it then.

I'm so tired its no joke. Its been a hectic week. Just returned from teacher's day dinner. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.. Got myself a lousy clock at from the lucky draw. Will give it to 3/4. :P Heh. Stoopid Ms Ong got a DVD player!! ARGH! I was Jedi Master tonight!! You WILL give me the DVD player!

Will attempt to put up some pics here secretly when I can. The teachers were a hoot! We had a ghost from Scary Movie, Princess Leia, Jedi knights, 2 Captain Hooks, Snow White, Darth Maul, Cruella De'ville and Mr Shafie who turned up in a shirt like the service staff's!! HAHAHHAHA. If I weren't so busy running around I would have demanded he served me a coke. Heh.

Gotta start on prep exam marking. Oh joy.

I love the third photo the most, it shows us most at ease. By the way, to all of you, I expected those bunny ears k, but please tell me what KS and Weikiong were trying to do. Sheesh!

BULL'S EYE!!

Heh. Brought the NCC Part As for shooting practice today. The results were horrible. Then again, I don't think I can do better anyway. Don't know why they called the target a 'canadian bull', its just a rectangle, and a super small one that seems impossible to aim at. Looks like fun though. I would like to build something like this to play at home. Am thinking about how to start even as I type this. Also wondering how we can help them to improve. Hope I get much more done before I'm asked to leave for another cca.

Was chatting with fellow NCC m'am on the journey there and back. Talked about disturbing stuff that happens in all offices - office politics. Sigh. I wish I could just paste a notice up to declare that I am just here to teach and not climb any ladder, whether it's the corporate ladder or the ladder kept at the back of the hall. I will serve out my bond and then I will look for another job. Maybe in the near future, as soon as I can, I will set up an after-school study centre where I can do things my way. So that my time is spent only on the kids and not on admin or compulsory mumbo jumbo. Whatever I do now is only for the students and only because I enjoy what I'm doing, not because I'm trying to be impressive or anything. Can't help it when ppl judge without knowing the truth. Its sad.

Meanwhile, I just really miss designing, manufacturing and programming work. Hope the coming trip back to NTU will open up eyes to how fun a place the university can be. Now that I've graduated I really miss lectures. tutorials and bench work at the labs.

Have papers to set and scripts to mark. Feeling totally incompetent and weary.

Had KFC for dinner. Now suffering from the after-effects. I knew this was coming, but I cooouldn't heeeelp it. Ack.

Spent one heck of an afternoon and evening marking like a mad woman. Was just about to slip into insanity when I reached the last script.

Its raining outside now, at this late late hour. Its time for me to hit the sack. Nites all.
